Meet Rosemary Van Witzenburg, the dynamic January Queen of the Month in the colorful tapestry of the Red Hat Society. Born in Chicago, Rosemary’s life is a story of resilience, hard work, and an ageless spirit.
Raised in a family of seven, with parents in civil service, Rosemary absorbed values of discipline and dedication. A para-legal for 23 years in downtown Chicago, she married in 1963, and after her first husband’s passing, found lasting love with Brian Van Witzenburg in 1984.
Relocating to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Rosemary, now 80, runs a successful real estate title insurance business. In 2019, she founded Elegant Red Hatters, a vibrant chapter with 60+ members, combining her legal expertise and her mother’s values.
Despite being an octogenarian, Rosemary remains a full-time worker, ensuring her office supports her Red Hat activities. Her life, including a chapter in show-horse facilities, revolves around her enduring hobby – the Red Hat Society.
Rosemary finds joy in her two grandsons and their children. Her advice to all? “BE KIND.” As a RHS Queen, Rosemary loves orchestrating memorable events embodying the Red Hat Society’s spirit.
